Marine Life Studies Program
Research Education and Conservation
Peggy Stap is the founder and director of Marine Life Studies. She has dedicated her life work to document and protect the Marine wildlife of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The inspiration for her life work began years ago when she had a life-changing encounter with a whale. Several years after her first whale encounter Peggie moved to the Monterey Bay Area and founded Marine Life Studies. This Non-profit provides internship training on the waters of the Monterey Bay Sanctuary.
Peggy’s work and passion, to document and protect the creatures migrating through the deep-water canyons of the Monterey Bay Sanctuary, is an inspiration for generations to come.
